i can’t wait for my 21st! i’m going to have a pastel party!
last night Jordyn and i went to bright for Sophie’s 21st. it was beautiful, the gorgeous dress she had spent so many hours beading really payed off, she looked like a fairy princess. Jordyn and i didn’t know anyone else there so we danced with the fire and put glow sticks in the jars that housed little tea lights on the fireplace mantelpiece and killed a few brain cells sucking helium from the purple balloons that dressed the ceiling. They didn’t play any Kimba. which made me a little sad because i requested it pretty early on but it was okay, it still played in my head. they did have a photo reel playing in the background though, of Sophie in her younger days and i began to match up faces on the screen to the people in the room as it played over and over. and there was so much food and punch with berries in it. we then went to Soph’s beautiful house and camped in her portable which was where i had the coldest slumber of my life. i dreamt of someone ordering me subway. then i met Jordyn’s jolly dad and we drove on home my eyes sceptically fixated on the clock thanks to the boy who cries wolf.
So i got a call this morning from Caitlin. She said she got me something from a garage sale and asked if now was a good time to drop it off because she was passing by anyway. within 5 minutes i was dressed and at the door speaking to the beautiful girl and she hands me this “you like velvet right? and backs with low cuts… it was three dollars so i got if for you!” and it was an instant simultaneous love. Both admiration for her, and adoration for this new garment she so humbly gave me. It is the most wonderful dress I’ve ever seen and I have no plans to alter it whatsoever as she coolly suggested if I didn’t like the way it was. She;s a dream <3
